Raised by wolves in the deep Alaskan tundra, Isaac Nichols grew up with three older brothers in a 3 walled house with a giant blue tarp as the fourth. Sleeping on seed bags and listening to the sled dogs howl, a great man was forged. Having always drawn he did a short stint in art school where he excelled greatly but quit when a tattoo apprenticeship was offered at Analog Tattoo in San Jose, California.
Early on in his apprenticeship he was became heavily drawn towards the classic Japanese style of tattooing or “irezumi” and began to focus on that as his primary craft. After he felt that there was no more to learn from his mentors he returned home to begin his career. Now after 4 years of slingin’ tats Isaac Nichols has decided to move forward and expand his horizons yet further by moving to the Portland area. You’re welcome Portland area.
